On August 17, the "Green Mobility, Leading the Future" green methanol refueling ceremony was held at Shanghai Yangshan Port. Shanghai Electric, together with Shanghai International Port Group and CMA CGM, successfully completed a batch of green methanol refueling, with a total refueling volume of 8,000 tons, setting a new global record for the largest single green methanol refueling volume.cordless stick vacuum China
The green methanol supplied this time was mainly provided by the Shanghai Electric Taonan Green Methanol Project. This global record is not only a breakthrough in "quantity," but also marks a new stage in the Taonan project's comprehensive entry into continuous and stable production and batch delivery. Behind this record, a cross-provincial, fully integrated green fuel supply chain system is playing a core supporting role. In June of this year, Shanghai, Jilin, and Liaoning officially launched the joint construction of the "Green Fuel Transportation Corridor," opening up a complete logistics link from production in Taonan, Jilin, transshipment and storage at Dalian Port, to refueling at Shanghai Port—a "north-to-south" methanol transport. This batch refueling of 8,000 tons is the first large-scale verification since the corridor went into operation.

Currently, Shanghai is accelerating the construction of an international shipping green fuel "bundling center, certification center, and trading center". This batch of bunkering is a demonstration of the phased achievements of the construction of the "three centers" and a new starting point for in-depth cooperation in the green fuel supply chain and industrial chain.
As the core production base of this corridor, the Shanghai Electric Taonan Green Methanol Project, relying on the abundant wind, solar, and biomass resources in Jilin Province, has built the world's first large-scale plant for the coupled production of green methanol using green electricity and biomass. It utilizes a complete process system and core equipment technology developed under the leadership of Shanghai Electric, including pure oxygen pressurized fluidized bed biomass gasification. The project has now fully entered the stage of continuous and stable production and batch delivery, precisely meeting the ship bunkering needs of the Shanghai International Shipping Center.
Looking to the future, Shanghai Electric will continue to deepen its industry-finance synergy with partners such as the National Green Development Fund, focusing on the entire chain of diversified green fuels from production to storage, transportation, and use. Leveraging technological innovation to lead industrial development, Shanghai Electric will work with partners to accelerate the construction of the Taonan City Green Hydrogen Coupled Biomass Green Alcohol Oil Integrated Project, continuously enhancing the large-scale supply capacity of green fuels in the aviation and shipping sectors, and providing more diverse and reliable green fuel solutions for the green and low-carbon transformation of transportation sectors such as shipping and aviation.
This event was jointly organized by Shanghai Electric, Shanghai International Port Group (SIPG), and CMA CGM. Zhu Zhaokai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Shanghai Electric Group; Yang Zhiyong, Vice President of SIPG; Guo Ruiting, Deputy Economic Consul of the Consulate General of France in Shanghai; Gu Haoyu, Chief Operating Officer of CMA CGM China; and Li Chuan, Vice President of Shanghai Electric Holding Group Co., Ltd., attended the event. Representatives from relevant government departments, industry associations, research institutes, financial institutions, and supply chain partners witnessed this historic moment.
